4 tech/recording - come at this time if you have a home recording setup, want to build one, or are interested in live sound.
430 piano/theory - we learn fundamental piano skills and music theory basics.
5 guitar/ukulele/bass - make sure you know all the chords and groves for the group session songs.
530 vocals - we practice the chorus sections where we all sing and where will choose soloists for the verses.
6 group session - where we put it all together playing songs from our book.
after we go over a few of the group tunes we will ultimately perform together, we go around the circle and take turns calling out a tune we can all play together, or perform something we’ve working on and keep going until they kick us out.
we look forward to bringing more music to our island this year.

july 17 session notes
the community center on anderson island was alive on monday for another group session!
here are my observation's
- it was fun having repeat players! as more people are familiar with the songs in the book, we can play more tunes!
- having singers was awesome! I can spread out the vocal duties and hear other voices on the songs.
- karin made amazing cookies.
- we introduced the song AWAY WE GO
- I recognize my own error in the away we go chart... it's the smallest things that slip through the cracks, sometimes! anyway, it's fixed and a new version is uploaded.
- we reviewed the list of "next up" song options and played through a few of them.
- generally, I plan to lead the group through songs from the book for about an hour each week. after that, the floor opens up and we try new material, re-visit old material, take a solo...
-- a practice video of AWAY WE GO is now in the book--
- does anyone want to bring snacks next time? good snacks...?
- every week is a little different and each contribution to this experiment is fascinating and memorable.
- next, i will post the new songs i have added to the book!
thanks again to everyone who has partnered with me on this journey of bringing more music to our communities.
REMEMBER there is no session on JULY 24th
will meet again on the JULY 31st
until then,
